LK Software is the company of Lars Kluijtmans: senior developer in HR, payroll and accountancy software, based in Tilburg since 2021, with a permanent network of developers and payroll experts to scale projects with.
The story
Started in payroll administration, stayed in the code
LK Software has existed since 2021. Shortly after, I built my first tools at a payroll service provider: API integrations, document conversion and checks on the payroll administration. That is where I learned what a rounding error in a daily wage means for the person receiving the payslip, and how much manual work there still is in the average bookkeeping firm.
Today more than 100 companies work with software we built. For an accountancy software vendor I delivered the integrations with Silverfin, Visionplanner and FiscaalGemak and Microsoft Single Sign-On. That combination of daily experience with production systems and the payroll and accountancy practice is exactly what I bring to every assignment.
I work with TypeScript, C#, Python and Java, on Azure and Google Cloud, with PostgreSQL and automated CI/CD. For larger projects I work with a permanent network of mid-level and senior developers and with payroll and HR experts who have been in the field for more than ten years. But it always starts with the process, not with the technology.
